Health & Fitness

Hello Summer!

Summer adventures, and cats galore.

Well, there you have it folks, it’s officially summer.  I’m two days in and happy as a clam.  I’m not even sure it’s fully registered yet.  No more work, no more teachers, no more books, for two whole months. Well, unless you count my summer reading books and my summer math packet, but we’re not going to talk about that.

However rainy and gross it is outside right now (thanks, Mother Nature) it’s okay, because I’m not in school. I’m doing a happy dance right now, no; scratch that, an ecstatic dance right now. So happy to be done.

Let’s see, where do I begin?  To kick of my first day of summer, I went to the Goddard Park Farmers Market, and let me just say, there is nothing better than having a guy selling you blueberry bread, wearing one of those hats that chimney sweepers wore in, like, Mary Poppins. The thing is, he pulled it off. Well. So well, in fact, that it’s pretty much the reason I bought his bread. Just because, in my experience, no one can pull of those hats, except him, apparently. Anyways, needless to say, bread was delicious. Blueberry bread? Ever heard of such a thing? According to Hat-Like-A-Chimney-Sweep-Guy, it makes the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I have yet to try it.

On another, completely unrelated, side note, only because my fat cat is trying to sit on my keyboard as I write, I recently watched "How to Train Your Dragon."  My cat looks exactly like the main black dragon, named Toothless in the film.  It’s uncanny. And let me just tell you, my cat isn’t toothless, as he is currently gnawing on my finger. Ow. He’s just a little terror.  For all you cat owners out there, check out this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0ffwDYo00Q. It’s very much me and my cat in the morning.

Anyway, enough about me ranting about my assorted adventures, I’ve got to go to work.

Have a fantastic week everyone!
