That's an easy one, EG TOM33, In RI: Best cannoli hands down is made at Scialo Brothers' Bakery on the Hill.  Outside RI: Carlo's Bake Shop, 95 Washington Street, Hoboken, N.J.

EG TOM33, I consider you a friend, so to be honest with you because I was so impressed with the name “Droopy Draws McGillivary,” that you bestowed on our newest town celebrity, I’m going to help you out; consider it a little gift from me to you. 

Before that, though, I think you ought send, Mike Bottaro, my blog colleague, an email on how you can trademark “Droopy Draws McGillivary.” Just so you know, Mike’s not only a lawyer, but also he’s Italian to boot!!

Mike, you’re Italian, right? Didn’t your great-grandmother date my great-grandfather? Crazy times. We’ll talk.

Listen up EG TOM33 before you order a single cannoli and embarrass yourself and me, I’ve posted a video on my facebook page (www.facebook.com/kara.caldarone) that I dedicated to you and I want you to watch it.

These Jersey Boys (not the singers) in the video know how to eat a cannoli—trust me.

In fact, these boys’ participate in “The Annual New Jersey Cannoli & Fig Eating Championship” year after year. This year, sadly, was the first time in 20+ years that I could not attend this gala. I was too busy working in my yard. Remember? Surprise! No more landscapers’? Exactly!

On another note, have you seen EG Mike? I hope I didn’t hurt his feelings. I really am trying to find my “happy place” and breathe, but it’s a challenge for me. :(

If you see him, EG TOM33, please let him know that I’ll be posting and dedicating my toilet-rat story to him, soon. Also, let him know that my toilet-rat (now a pet) did not flush, so… I had to get creative, like my Uncle “Two-Toned Catnip” Louie used to do when he faced a problem—he hated rats! I do too!!

RIP Uncle, we always get the rat, not a one ever slips by us right, Unc? It’s because of our Roman noses. We can always smell a rat. Sometimes not right away, but eventually we do. We always do.
