Stone Walls And Snowballs

Snow and snowed under by drama and school

Hello everybody!

I'm writing to you in the middle of Hell Week #1 and Hell Week #2, otherwise known as the Drama Owns Me time. I'm in the middle of midterms (see what I did there?) and have buried myself under APUSH (AP US History) books and cans of paint. Black, white, and gray paint to be exact.

Let me explain. I'm a part of the high school's tech program. For some reason, I thought it was wise to offer to paint sets. There are a lot of sets. And I've had to paint (with the help of other techies) these sets to look like stone walls with nothing but a plastic bag, some brushes, and paint. Impressed? It's really not that hard to paint stone walls but it is time consuming. My fingers normally turn this lovely shade of gray by the end of drama practice. My friend calls them elephant fingers. I've also accepted the fact that my nail beds might be permently flecked with gray and black and white. It's a fun time. Don't get me wrong, I think the sets look amazing if I may say so myself. And I hope you think so too, when you come see EGHS Drama's performance of Once Upon A Mattress in the beginning of February. :)

In other news, the recent cold weather was finally become productive and there is at least 8 inches of snow on my patio table in my backyard. Finally! Although it does not make my parents as happy as it does me. I've had my license for about a month or two now, but never driven in the snow. Going to school has suddenly become an adventure and I'm interested to see how our '99 Accord (still going strong!) fares under the foot of snow. Hopefully the brakes don't freeze over like last winter (long story). But for now, I'm curled up on the couch, empty mug with hot chocolate rings inside on the ground, typing furiously on my computer. It's warm, I'm wearing one of those ridiculously comfy old sweaters no one wears in public, and I don't have any homework (besides studying of course). I'm dying to have a snowball fight or go sledding or something, but just in case I can't, please throw a snowball or slide down a hill on a piece of plastic for me! :)

I've been very into piano covers right now, so I hope you'll bear with me on my instrumental kick. Not many people like it, which is sad considering how good a piano sounds to me rather than autotune :P
