SUPER Easy And Elegant Holiday Appetizer
A super simple, delicious and elegant four-ingredient holiday/Christmas appetizer that you and your family and friends will love, plus you'll be sure to use this recipe over and over!

So you've been so busy with work, family, wrapping gifts and preparing for the holidays that you have no idea what to bring to that party you're supposed to go to, right? Or maybe you're hosting and need one more appetizer idea. If this sounds familiar, I have a solution for you that will make your life easier for years to come. Appetizers seem to be popular at Christmas/holiday parties and this recipe is sure to be a hit. I guarantee people will be asking you for the recipe.
Typically I'd blog something longer, but since there are two days left 'til Christmas Eve and three days 'til Christmas. I'd like to keep it short and to the point so you can get busy with all you have going on right now. This recipe calls for four ingredients and literally takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. You can do them the day before or a few hours before the party you will be attending or hosting.
We have lots of parties in my family and this recipe has become a staple. People get so excited over this simple appetizer and I love it because I can make it in a jiffy. Now don't get me wrong - I LOVE taking my time and making delicious recipes over the holidays but sometimes (especially with two children and one on the way), this recipe comes in handy! If you have the time to cook and relax in your kitchen with a glass of wine during this busy season then save this recipe for a time when you're in a crunch. You'll be thanking me later - I promise!

These pinwheels work well for Christmas/Holidays because of the festive colors: red dried cranberries and green scallions. But you can make these pinwheels at any time during the year.
*Just as a note...although this appetizer is simple it is also elegant. That is the reason I always go back to it!

Easy Cream Cheese Pinwheels
*Makes about 50-60 one inch pinwheels
Ingredients:
1. 1 bag of flour white tortilla wraps (I buy 6-8 ten inch)
2. 1 container of Philidelphia whipped cream cheese
3. 1 bag of original craisins (dried cranberries)
4. 1 bunch of green scallions, chopped
Directions:
1. Mix cream cheese, craisins and chopped scallions in a medium bowl with a spoon...mix well.
2. Take a flour tortilla wrap and put about 1/3 cup of above mixture into middle of wrap. With the back of a spoon spread mixture all over tortilla. Make sure the entire wrap is covered with mixture. If you need a little more of the mixture go ahead and add a little.
3. Now tightly roll the tortilla wrap into a cylinder. Take a piece of saran wrap and place the tortilla on top of the saran. Tightly wrap the tortilla in the saran, making sure no part of the tortilla is exposed to air.
4. Repeat with as many tortillas as you can get using the cream cheese mixture. I usually get about 6 ten-inch tortillas filled.
5. Now refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
6. Unwrap tortilla from saran and using a serrated knife cut 1 inch pinwheels. I usually eat the ends or give them to my family as these don't come out as pretty. I like to put the pinwheels on a cake plate or nice platter for pretty presentation.
7. Serve immediately! They should be fine for a couple of hours out on a table but be sure to refrigerate what does not get used. Also, sometimes if I'm bringing them to a friend's house I'll just transport the tortillas in the saran wrap and cut them at the party so they are fresh! Either way, people will love them!
Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!
