Council To Vote On School Spending Items Tonight

School spending: The Town Council is expected to vote, at its Monday night meeting at 6 p.m. in Town Hall, on the School Committee's proposal to fix the roofs at Frenchtown, Meadowbrook and the high school, as well as upgrade the technology infrastructure at the high schoool.

Last Monday night, the Council voted 3-2 to delay making a decision on the $3.7 million of improvements until Feb. 14. But in the meantime, the group of elected officials decided to hold a meeting tonight to vote on the spending which would come from the 2008 school bond passed by voters to build a new middle school.

More snow: Monday is expected to be another warm one, but temperatures are supposed to dip down Monday night and more snow is likely. We could get another few inches to add to the already too much we've gotten so far this winter. 

Art club to meet: The East Greenwich Art Club gets together for its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at Atria Harborhill on Division Street.

Pick-up basketball: There's an adult pick-up basketball game at EGHS on Monday night. Come on down and work off all the food you ate at that Super Bowl party last night.
