East Greenwich Hockey Players Show Their Stuff In Summer League
EG Crusaders come out on top during summer play.

The EG Crusaders youth hockey team did well in off-season play this past summer, winning the state Junior Development League Tier 2 Championship. The Crusaders met Ponagansett in the playoffs, defeating them 6-3, before proceeding to the championship against Cranston, where the Crusaders won 7-5.
During the championship game, the team had goals from Sam Dulieu (2), Chris Wright, Alex Ventura (2), Paul Dunwoody and Ryan King. Steady goaltending by Braden Fleming and Eric Carlson helped ensure the win for the Crusaders.
It was a good all-around team effort, according to coaches, with excellent end-to-end action during the game for the EG Crusaders.
