EG Animal Shelter Moved All its Animals by Thursday
The animal shelter posted an urgent message for help from people willing to foster while the organization makes arrangements at a new site.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—They made the deadline with time to spare.
All the animals now have foster homes or have been adopted, the East Greenwich Animal Protection League confirmed Thursday.
"WOW! Our final dog just went home," the staff posted on Facebook. "Everyone is in a foster or adoptive home now, so THANK YOU ALL! For making it happen!"

The pet lovers' community stepped up to answer an urgent call for help after the league on Monday sent out this message: "Urgent Help Needed." The post went on to say the shelter has been given a deadline to ship out all the animals by Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m.
"URGENT HELP NEEDED!!! We have a very unfortunate situation and need EVERY ANIMAL out of our current location by 5:00pm on THURSDAY!!! PLEASE if you can help FOSTER for a short time we are DESPERATE!!! CALL 401-738-1716 or email Tammy at onlygirlx33@aol.com ASAP!! PLEASE SHARE EVERYONE!!!"

On Tuesday, dozens of people responded.
"All of our pups, and one kitty, have found wonderful foster homes, as well as a few permanent homes and will be all out by the end of the day," Tammy Flanagan, executive director, told Patch. "Now," she quipped, "we need a nap."
