EG Author Releases Second Book

Julianne Palumbo's second book, Announcing the Thaw, is available now from Finishinglinepress.com.

East Greenwich’s Julianne Palumbo has published her second book, Announcing the Thaw— a poetry chapbook about raising children in which their growing up is both celebrated and mourned. The progression of poems reflects the poet’s struggle to replace that precious act of raising now-grown children with something equally worthy.

The book, which is available for advance purchase through its publisher, Finishing Line Press (www.finishinglinepress.com) will be released in October. Palumbo is a former attorney and mother of three children. She currently writes poetry, short stories and YA verse novels and coaches teens in writing. Her writing has been published in Poetry East, Ibettson Street Press, Kindred, The Listening Eye, the MacGuffin, YARN and other journals. Her first book, Into Your Light (Flutter Press 2013), was released last September. Palumbo has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her poem, “Stuffing Bears.”
