EG Photo Returns Home to 631 Main St.

Soozie Sundlun launched her successful photography business, East Greenwich Photo, at 631 Main St. in East Greenwich and as the business grew and grew over the years, she eventually outgrew it.

The business moved to Cliff Street and it offered extra room for storage and its ever-expanding customer base.

Today, Sundlun is excited to be returning to where her business got its start — right at 631 Main St.

“Returning to the place where we began this incredible journey more than three decades ago once seemed impossible. Our business continued to grow beyond our wildest expectations, and we needed more space to accommodate the expanding customer base that you are such an important part of,” Sundlun said in an e-mail message. “But with advances in technology, we now have the ability to return home to where it all started -- and we couldn’t be happier.”

Today, photographers are finding they need less and less space for storage. As the industry has digitized, photography businesses have adapted.

“No longer is there a need for large amounts of physical square footage, just more of a need to find the right place where we can perfect the moments we have captured for our customers but continue to provide them with the thoughtful and superior service they have come to expect,” Sundlun said.

The new location is a bit smaller, but it’s right around the corner from the old spot. And being on Main Street means EG Photo will have a prominent place in the heart of the town’s business center.

“Most importantly, we will continue to focus on my passion, which is on-location photography at many of the beautiful locations around Rhode Island. And while East Greenwich Photo will be physically moving, almost everything else about East Greenwich Photo will stay the same,” Sundlun said.
