Fire on Main Street Displaced Five Adults for One Night

The five adults had to stay elsewhere on Sunday night because the fire alarms were not working, but they have all returned home.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—A fire Sunday in a motor in a house on Main Street temporarily displaced four families. According to fire Chief Russell McGillivray, the people could not stay in the building overnight because the fire alarms were not working.

The people have since been able to return home, he said.

The Red Cross said it helped four families (five adults) find accommodations.
