Maybe Grace should consider a future in politics? Last night, along with her human friends from many other RI animal welfare groups, she advocated at The RI State House on behalf of ALL dogs, and especially her K9 pit-bull type friends, in support of a bill a that would prevent cities and town from implementing rules, regulations or ordinances relating to specific breeds of dogs (and cats) - in simple terms: no new breed specific legislation. The result? The Senate Committee voted to send S-1011 (HB 5671) to the Senate Floor for a vote. This is REALLY good news!
The Committee got a BIG kick out of this: A recent "black lab mix puppy" adoptee from EGAPL had her DNA profile done. She's Entlebutcher Mountain Dog, Rottweiler, Cocker Spaniel, Pug, Argentine Dogo, Tree Walker Coonhound, Yorkshire Terrier and Newfoundland.
