It's A Hot One Out There!

It's one of the hottest days of the summer so far and we have a few ideas for places to go to escape the heat...or at least cool down a little bit. Not everyone has air conditioning units so there are a few places around town that you can hang out at to get out of the sun and the humidity. 

• -- Open Monday through Thursday 10am to 8pm and Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm They have plenty of books and magazines to occupy your time while you get out of the heat. 

• Showcase Cinemas in Warwick -- It's only a couple minutes down the road and besides having air conditioning, there are some good movies playing these days, including "Cars 2," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," and "X-Men First Class." • Ice Cream Shops -- Grab a cone or or a smoothie at one of our ice cream shops in town. We have at 5720 Post Road and at 253 Main St., as well as  at 5707 Post Road and on Main Street and also on Main Street (which features gelato).

Or maybe you want to beat the heat but still be outside...
