Little Kitchen Shop Helps Frenchtown PTG Raise Money, Environmental Awareness
The Main Street store donated 85 percent of profits from the sale of reusable lunch products.

The Parent-Teacher Group at recently partnered with located at 176 Main St. to make waste-free lunch products available to Frenchtown families.
In an effort to raise money and also promote the initiatives of the school’s Green Team, the school sponsored a sale of LunchSkins (re-usable sandwich and snack bags), as well as the Spork Little, a durable fork-and-spoon combination.
Little Kitchen Shop owner Diane Muzalewski worked with Kristin Lehoullier, a Green Team co-chair, to order and select the items. Muzalewski is donating 85 percent of the profits to the Frenchtown PTG.
When asked why she embraced the partnership, Diane said, "It's been my pleasure to help Frenchtown School with the waste-free lunch drive. I am excited that so many parents are teaching their children that they too can contribute in making their environment a cleaner, better place.”
The products were on display at , which was held in September. Those who placed an order that day were entered into a raffle to win a gift basket donated by Whole Foods in Cranston. Third grade teacher Mrs. Alfano won the raffle. Orders for these waste-free lunch items were accepted through the middle of October. Over $1,000 in orders were placed with over $350 donated to the school.
The Little Kitchen Shop is continuing to support the school by offering a special promotion to Frenchtown Families during the month of November. Every time a Frenchtown family purchases a Lunchskin, $1 will be donated to Frenchtown. In addition, for the entire month of November, Frenchtown families will get a discount of 5 percent or 10 percent on purchases over a certain amount.
