Obituary: Albert LaPlume, 84

Albert LaPlume, 84 years, passed peacefully at home on January 30, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Baker) LaPlume for 64 years.

He was the son of the late Gerard and Antoinette (Pekala) LaPlume.

“Al” was a millwright, retiring in 1985 from Oliver Barrette Millwrights. He was a member of Local 94, a Kent Hospital Incorporator and a member of East Greenwich Veteran Fireman’s Association. Always available to family and friends whenever help was needed, he was a gifted man that could do anything.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda Weinstein (Allan); son, Robert LaPlume (Sharon); grandchildren, David and Jessica Weinstein, Mark LaPlume; and great grandchildren, Lauren and Noah LaPlume.

A sincere thank you to our extended family and friends for their support, in addition to all his care givers, who became a loving part of our extended family.

His funeral will be Saturday, February 7th at 11:00AM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Burial will be private. Calling hours: Friday, February 6th 5-7pm.
