Obituary: Zachary D. Cruff, 24, EGHS Alum
Zach lived in Newport News, Virginia, but grew up in East Greenwich.
Zachary D. Cruff, 24, of Newport News, Virginia, formerly of East Greenwich, died July 21 of head injuries from a fall a week earlier. Cruff was a graduate of East Greenwich High School.
A celebration of Zach's life will be held on Friday, July 24th, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel, 1850 Post Road, in Warwick.
Zach is survived his parents, Dennis Cruff M.D., and Lisa Allam-Cruff, of Poquoson, Virginia; two sisters, Jenna Cruff, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Macallan (Callie) Cruff, at home; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Jane Cruff, of Narragansett; and maternal grandmother, Carole Allam, of Woonsocket. He is predeceased by Antonio Allam.

Zach attended James Madison University, and was a valued employee at Cycle City Corp. for the past five years. A lifelong hockey player, Zach played in recreational leagues and was a dedicated and well-liked team player. He also played billiards and enjoyed riding, racing and re-building dirt bikes.
Zach never met a stranger. He loved deeply and was well loved. As a lasting act of kindness his organs were donated to those in need.
