Obituary: Jane C. Cogan, 96

Jane C. Cogan, 96, formerly of Westwood Dr. East Greenwich, passed away June 2, 2015. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Cogan.

Born in East Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Merle A. and Fern (Cummings) Clark. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, sunny disposition, and strong faith. Jane was a member of the East Greenwich United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She sang in the Chancel Choir, served as church secretary for a time, and helped with many church events such as the annual May Breakfasts.

She was also a long-time member of the Kent County YMCA. She is survived by a son James D. Cogan, a daughter Nancy C. Snow and her husband Robert; grandchildren Benjamin and his wife Amy and Emily Baker and her husband Wade; and great grandchildren Jacob and Reese. She was the mother of the late Robert T. Cogan.

Funeral Service Wednesday, June 10th at 10:00AM at the East Greenwich United Methodist Church, 1558 South County Trail, East Greenwich. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours: Tuesday, June 9th 3:30-7PM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Donations may be made to the East Greenwich United Methodist Church.
