Obituary: Tina (DiFiore) Silvestro, 85

Tina Silvestro (DiFiore), 85, of East Greenwich, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late Michael R. Silvestro.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Mastrostefano) DiFiore.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Holley and her husband David; grandchildren, James and Mikayla Farrell, Christina and Jennifer Pummer and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jasmine, Gage and Willow.

She was the mother of the late Concetta Silvestro and Michael J. Silvestro. She was the sister of the late Rado DiFiore, Jennie Silvestro and Josephine Orabona.

Her family was her greatest treasure, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tina got great joy from helping others which defined her life. She was a woman of great kindness and compassion. Prior to retiring, she was a group home manager for RIARC and office assistant for Ocean State Center for Independent Living.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 8:45am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mercy, 4th Avenue, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name to St. Elizabeth Home, One St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818 will be appreciated.
