Obituary: William H. "Bill" Blake, 65, Loved Family, East Greenwich

William H. “Bill” Blake, 65, passed away July 21, 2015.

He was the husband of Susan E. (Howard) Blake; son of Elizabeth B. (Clemens) Romano and the late John H. Blake and stepson of Michael A. Romano; father of Nathan H. and Rachel E. Blake and brother of John, Robert and David Blake.

Bill was raised in East Greenwich, and since his youth, he was attached to and loved this town; having gone to and graduated from EG High School and working his entire life in EG.

While growing up, he loved cars and motorcycles, fixing them and being among friends who shared his similar interest, which love, his son, Nate, has since acquired. A building contractor for all of his working career, with his wife Sue, they owned and managed many rental properties in EG. Bill built many homes, the most beautiful of which they lived in together and started a family.

Bill loved and cherished his children, Nate and Rachel. Bill was a wonderful brother and a cherished son to his parents, Mom and Mike. In recent years, he spent much time at the boatyard simply taking in the scenery. Sadly, he suffered from depression in later years. Bill is already deeply missed by all of his family and friends and will forever be in our hearts. His funeral and burial will be private.

A celebration of his life will be Friday, July 24th from 5PM to 7PM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
