Someone left piles of cooked chicken wings on the front steps of several houses recently, police said.

Police said Gobern was eventually stopped at the intersection of Division and Marlborough Streets by an officer working on a parade detail.
Gobern showed signs of intoxication, police said, and failed a field sobriety test.
THEFT FROM CARS
Someone stole items from two cars parked outside a Middle Road home overnight Nov. 12.
Police said the resident told them that she parked her car and locked it and when she closed her garage door, she saw shadows running across the garage entrance.
She went inside and didn’t notify anyone, police said.
At around 11 a.m. the following morning, the woman discovered her car and another vehicle in the driveway had been entered overnight, police said.
Stolen were a purse, Social Security card, bank card, makeup and $140 cash.
Police are investigating.

Police said Baton punched and kicked a man he believed to be checking cars on Queen Street.
Baton told police that he thought the man was trying to break into cars and hit the man after words were exchanged.

TOOLS STOLEN
On Nov. 13, A Clemente Drive resident told police that someone stole tools from a trailer parked in his driveway and a 2,200 watt generator from the bed of his pickup truck.
Police said the resident discovered the theft in the morning and was surprised that he didn’t hear anything overnight since his bedroom window is near the trailer.
The suspect reportedly went into the trailer and stole four saws, 12 nail guns, eight drills, two routers, a jointer and other items.
Police reported finding some tools lying in the grass near a neighbor’s garage.
Police are investigating.
Also on Nov. 13, an Edward Road resident told police that someone stole tools from the back of his pickup truck sometime overnight.
Stolen were a DeWalt combo kit, a torch head, a turbo torch, hammer drill, tubing bend, test kit and rotary hammer drill. The total value of the items was about $2,800.
HORSE CORRALLED
East Greenwich officers on Nov. 16 helped to corral a loose horse on Middle Road.
Police said they were dispatched to the area of 1370 Middle Road at around 7:06 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers saw a brown Palomino horse on the property at 1422 Middle Road. A woman had stopped to help and had bridled the horse. They found a nearby enclosure, but it was secure on just three sides, police said.
The owners of the horse were notified and one owner came to the scene to take custody of the animal.
