Provant Hires Two Senior Executives
East Greenwich-based Provant has hired a pair of new vice presidents of client management.
Provant, a leading national population health management company, today hired two new senior executives in an ongoing effort to help clients achieve superior results in their population health management programs.
Elizabeth R. Merritt of Sharon, Mass., and Mike Parent of North Attleboro, Mass., are new vice presidents of client management for Provant, responsible for assisting their client partners in developing, strategizing, implementing and managing comprehensive well-being programs that reduce population health risks and improve individual and company performance.
Merritt, a practicing attorney, will be able to draw on her legal background to advise clients on compliance matters, including the Affordable Care Act’s nondiscrimination requirements. As a litigator at Barton Gilman LLP, she regularly appeared in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in a wide range of cases, and was named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and Assumption College, where she earned degrees in psychology and political science. Merritt lives in Sharon with her husband and their baby girl.

Mike Parent comes to Provant from Town Sports International, the largest owner and operator of fitness clubs in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. He was director of corporate sales, developing and leading a team focused largely on employee engagement in wellness programs. Before that, he was chief fitness officer for Fitcorp, where he focused on improving services to reach high-risk corporate users. He earned a bachelor’s degree in health fitness/exercise science from Springfield College. Parent lives in North Attleboro with his wife and four children.
