Red Stripe in East Greenwich Officially Opens
Fans of Red Stripe's award winning fries can come to Main Street for a taste of the traditional -- in an all new setting.

After months of renovations and preparations, your table is set at Red Stripe on Main Street in East Greenwich.
The popular Rhode Island culinary brand that is Red Stripe opened the doors to its new location in EG in a “soft opening’ last month, but was hit with large crowds early on thanks to building anticipation all summer and Red Stripe’s reputation for family-friendly accommodations with an upscale twist.
The new location has the same hours as its sister in Providence’s East Side: Mon-Thurs, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fri-Sat, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with brunch wrapped up at 3 p.m.

The food is described as “refined comfort food with a French influence,” and the restaurant is particularly known for its fries, which go quite well with a slab of beef or with fresh mussels.
“Our food is reasonably priced and always made with passion,” said Paul Conforti, managing partner of Red Stripe. “We’re excited to bring our Red Stripe experience to the neighborhood of East Greenwich. The clientele is comparable to our Providence location where we see many of our guests out for a stroll or out shopping. We are looking forward to hosting many meals, special gatherings and celebrations for our new friends as we welcome those from East Greenwich and the surrounding area.”
Red Stripe is located at 445 Main St. For more info and menu, visit their Web site or Facebook page.
