Ribbon Cut for New Fitzy's Pub on Post Road

The former Mozzarella's has a new name, new look, new TVs, bigger burgers and more.

In case you haven’t noticed, the all-new Fitzy’s Pub has opened on Post Road.

The site of the former Mozzarella’s in East Greenwich, Fitzy’s Pub boasts a new name, new menu, bigger burgers, home cut fries and improvements all around.

The restaurant celebrated a ribbon cutting earlier this week to mark its new name and new menu.

Inside, you’ll notice six new flat screen TVs to watch sporting events. There’s also plenty of sport’s art, including pictures of local East Greenwich sports teams.

The ownership is the same — Jay Chelo and Joe Ribeiro have owned the restaurant for years and run a Fitzy’s Pub in Plainville, Massachusetts.

If you miss Mozzarella’s, there’s still two locations — one in North Providence at 1021 Mineral Spring Ave., and another in Dayville, Conn.

Fitzy’s, with a Shamrock in its logo, might be worth a stop on St. Patrick’s Day. Bangers and mash are on the menu and they’re going to have a corned beef reuben, too.
