School Committee, Girls Basketball And More
Five things you need to know for Tuesday, Feb. 15.

School Committee: The School Committee meets tonight, 7 p.m., at Hanaford Elementary School, and is slated to discuss next fiscal year's budget, as well as a proposed memorandum of understanding with the Town concerning maintenance of the high school fields project. The Committee is also expected to accept the resignation of Jerry Nettik, the technology director for the school department, who plans to leave at the end of the school year.
EGHS girls basketball: The Lady Avenger basketball team travels to Aquidneck Island tonight to take on Rogers High School.
Tax man cometh: If you're old or poor and having trouble with your taxes, the town can help. Today at 9 a.m. in the Swift Community Center, the town is hosting an open house staffed by tax experts to help elderly and low-income people file their tax returns.

Beading class: If you're interested in being artistic, there is a free class on glass beading at the Swift Community Center at 6:30 p.m. The class is open to both kids and teens, as well as their parents.
Sing along: It's open mic night at the Greenwich Hotel. Starting at 9 p.m., show up at the historic bar on Main Street for your opportunity to be a rock star.
