School Committee, Zoning Board, Scrabble & Country Music
Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, June 28.

School Committee meeting: The 2012 budget is passed and school is out, but the business of the School Committee continues. Items on the agenda include discussion of dugouts at the EGHS varsity baseball field and discussion of a use and responsibility document about all the EGHS fields, something that’s been tossed back and forth between the town and the school department for several months now. The meeting is at Cole Middle School and it begins at 7pm.
Zoning Board meeting: There are two items on the Zoning Board’s agenda, a residential application for a setback variance and dimensional variance for Main Street Coffee. Owner Stephen Cinquegrana argues that he cannot provide the required number of parking spaces for his establishment. The Zoning Board meets at Town Hall at 7pm.
Scrabble Club: The Senior Center at Swift Community Center holds a Scrabble session every Tuesday at 9:30am. Test your word mettle against other EG wordsmiths.
Country Music Night: If you love country music, Harbourside Lobstermania is the place to be on Tuesdays. There’s live country music and chances to win tickets to “Country Fest” at Gillette Stadium.
