Sign Up Now for EG Historic Cemetery Spring Cleanups

The East Greenwich Historic Cemetery Commission has identified three Saturdays this spring as part of its 2015 Spring Clean-Up Program.

Save the dates: April 18, May 16 and June 20.

You’ll get an email 7 to 10 days before the cleanup date with details and an assignment.

“We are immensely grateful to the community for their help and volunteer efforts as we restore and rehabilitate the historical cemeteries of East Greenwich,” the commission said in a release.

East Greenwich is home to 91 historic cemeteries. That means most EG residents live in walking distance to at least one.

The East Greenwich Historic Cemetery Advisory Commission was formed in December 2013. Its five members are appointed by the Town Council.
