A stray bullet apparently from a rifle fired at the Rhode island Army National Guard training center at Camp Fogarty penetrated a second-floor window screen at a Pardon’s Wood Lane house, prompting the shutdown of a the firing range.
A resident reported the incident on Sept. 10 after finding the bullet and police determined that it had been fired from a rifle at nearby Camp Forgarty.
The bullet is described as a 7.62mm .30 caliber bullet.

Police said they have been working with the National Guard in the investigation and the firing range, which is used for training, has been closed in the meantime.
