Summer Over, but Fun is Not in EG
It's time to sign up for an East Greenwich Parks and Recreation fall program!

From our friends at the East Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department:
Just because summer is coming to an end does not mean that the fun needs to! Check out what the East Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department is offering this fall, there is something for everyone! Registration is currently underway. Be sure to get registration forms in ASAP as programs do fill quickly. The Department offers online registration for East Greenwich residents who have a pre-approved account. Find all the information you need to register, set up an account and program information in the fall flyer. Flyers were mailed to East Greenwich residents in August and are available online at www.eastgreenwichri.com.
Keeping children active can be easy with the numerous sports programs being offered this Fall that include Squeaky Sneakers, All Sports, and Gymnastics. Come try Little Yoga, a class designed to benefit the whole body through song and relaxation techniques. Take Skateboarding Lessons and Youth Tennis Lessons afterschool this fall.

The Department will be offering many youth arts and learning classes this fall as well. Come try What’s Out There?, a nature exploration class where children will be guided by a Rhode Island Audubon Society naturalist. Many theatrical classes are being offered including Picture Book Theater, Broadway Babies, Drama Games and Ten Minute Plays. Preschoolers can spend the afternoon being creative with Messy Crafts. Family Music Time is a chance for families to sing songs and chants and move to the music. New and returning participants are sure to be challenged in Engineering 101, where participants will gain knowledge to help them build and create beyond their wildest ideas using LEGO® bricks.
Many Adult classes are being offered this fall by the department. Come learn the skills that could help save a life in the CPR & AED and First Aid courses. Adults looking to improve their game or learn one of the lifelong sports should try Adult Tennis Lessons. The Ramblers-Hiking Group is set to explore many of Rhode Island’s natural parks and open spaces each Thursday this fall. Adults/Seniors interested in getting into shape or remain in shape are encouraged to sign up for Body Conditioning, Yoga Stretch , Define Yourself, Zumba, or Yoga for Beginners, and Stretch & Relax, with so many offering there’s a class certain to fit into any schedule.

Adult trips this season include The Big E, Beavertail Lighthouse and Museum and Brown University’s Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology. Each trip offers an inexpensive way to enjoy the local sites as transportation and admission is included for a minimal fee.
Various pick-up athletic nights are available and include Pick Up Basketball for High Schoolers and Men 18 & over, and Co-ed pick up Volleyball and Pick Up Soccer for adults Space is limited and do tend to fill, so early registration is suggested.
