Tarantula Found in Front of EG Library

If you're missing an arachnid, it might be in Cumberland.

Maybe it was looking for a copy of Charlotte’s Web?

A Chilean rose haired tarantula was found near the steps in front of the East Greenwich Free Library recently and has been kept for safekeeping at Sabrina’s Reptile Kingdom in Cumberland.

Police said on Sept. 1, an officer was dispatched to the library, which was closed at the time, for a report of a tarantula on the sidewalk.

Because of the Labor Day holiday, most businesses were closed. But police did get in contact with Sabrina’s Reptile Kingdom, where owner Chris Koziol agreed to take in the spider for two weeks before attempting to sell it just in case it was reported missing.
