Town Council Tables Anti-Bullying Ordinance
Lady Avengers take on Warwick Vets, and pick-up basketball at the high school.
Anti-bullying ordinance tabled: With two of the five councilors unable to make tonight's Town Council meeting, at 7pm in Town Hall, the elected officials have a light agenda. Among the things the Council will not be discussing is the proposed anti-bullying ordinance, which was tabled earlier in the month.
Town Manager Bill Sequino said Town Solicitor Peter Clarkin is still taking a closer look at the language in the proposed ordinance. Sequino said in order for the proposed ordinance to move forward the town will "have to define what we're talking about a lot more."
The Council will be hearing a request to put a second-hand store at 75 Main St. The proposed store, owned by Nathan Landi, of Warwick, will, according to a filing with the town, "buy and sell coins, antiques, collectibles and jewelry."
