Trial Date Set in Case of Sarah's Trace Residents Who Claim Middle School Construction Damaged Their Homes

The group claims the construction created cracks in the foundations of their homes.

A trial date has been set in the case of Sarah’s Trace residents who claim construction at the Archie R. Cole Middle School damaged their homes.

The group alleges the foundations and walls of their homes were cracked during the construction process between 2009 and 2011. They sued, and earlier this year the town agreed to pay their court costs and cut their taxes in half. That didn’t satisfy the homeowners, who pushed for a trial.

The East Greenwich News reported the trial will begin in March.
