Warwick Father Charged in Baby's Death
Willow Ramos, 7 months old, was discovered unresponsive at her home. Now her father is being charged with cruelty and neglect.

WARWICK, RI—A Warwick father was due in Kent County Court Wednesday afternoon to face charges in connection with his baby girl's death.
According to Maj. Brad Connor and Det. Capt. Jamie Calise, of the Warwick Police Department, Ryan Beeley, 37, was arraigned in Kent County District Court this afternoon. He is charged with cruelty and neglect.
He is being held on $50,000 bail, multiple news sources are reporting.

Seven-month-old Willow Ramos was pronounced dead at Hasbro Children's Hospital on Tuesday night. Police and fire had responded to the home on Airway Road around 7:20 p.m. for a report of a child not breathing.
The mother, Mariah Ramos, 34, had returned home after an undetermined amount of time and discovered the baby unresponsive. She called for help.

Beeley was taken to Kent County Hospital, where he was treated. After the hospital released him, police took him unto custody
"At this time he is being charged with R.I. General Law 11-9-5 Cruelty to or Neglect of a Child," Connor said. "Additional charges may be added as the investigation unfolds."
The baby's autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
"The cause of death at this time is unknown," police said.
Meanwhile, detectives and the state Attorney General’s office continue the investigation.
"Search warrants have been executed on the residence at 3 Airway Road, and we are continuing to hold the home," police said. Minimum housing and the building inspector have been called, due to conditions inside the house, police said.
