We Need More Cow Car!
A North Kingstown animal rescue is hosting a series of fundraisers to help restore a beloved and much utilized local icon.

The streets of North Kingstown have been a lot less colorful these past few months, as a well-known local icon has been put out to pasture. The infamous Cow Car from Smith and Agli’s Pot Belly Pig Farm is a familiar and welcome sight for many youngsters in town, and the whimsical auto has chauffeured a menagerie of pigs, cats, dogs, goats, ducks and other animals in need of rescue or medical attention since the safe haven was founded in 1995. The Lincoln Town Car was painted and created as a tribute to Bette Davis, a beloved Ayrshire cow who holds a special place in Audrey Agli’s heart and that is why Liz and Audrey are working on a replacement.
The “Cow Car” helps us not only with our work rescuing, caring for and finding homes for abused or unwanted animals, but it is also a really great way to promote the farm and the work that we do. We are inundated with animals in need, and it takes a lot of work and money to keep the farm going.,” explains Audrey. “The Cow Car is kind of like our calling card. It helps raise awareness for animals in need.”
In an effort to raise money to refurbish a new Cow Car, and help with some of the other expenses on the farm, Smith and Agli’s is hosting a few fundraisers:
