EGHS Annual White Out Basketball Game On Friday

Wear white to show your support.

The East Greenwich High School Varsity Basketball team will be hosting its 3rd annual "White Out" basketball game against Moses Brown on Friday, January 6th at 6:30 PM. The White Out, for the last three years, has been put together by the EGHS Varsity Club. The Varsity Club, a school wide organization that orchestrates fundraisers through sporting events, will be donating all funds gained during the White Out to EGHS's Special Education Department. We advise all who attend to wear white and cheer for your Avengers. GO EAST!!

When the EGHS Boys Basketball team goes up against Moses Brown at home Friday night, they hope to see a swath of white in the bleachers for the its third annual "White Out" game.

The White Out has become a tradition for many teams, starting in Canada in the 1980s. In East Greenwich, the first White Out was literally whited out - postponed because of a snow storm. It caught on quickly, with a big white turnout last year.
