College Could Lose Thousands of Dollars: East Greenwich Police Investigating Check Fraud Allegations

School vice-president tells police someone has cashed seven big checks on the school's account.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—East Greenwich police are investigating a felony case of fraudulent checks. According to the report, a college vice-president has reported a number of such checks had been drawn against the school's bank account.

He cited seven checks in amounts between $3,000 and $4,000. All the checks were connected with Nattaya Godson.

"The college has no knowledge of an individual identified as Nattaya Godson," the report continued and did not authorize the transactions.

The school official said he wants to press charges and obtain reimbursement from the bank, which has asked its fraud department to investigate also.
