4 From RI Killed In CT Crash On Memorial Day

Four of the five people inside the car were killed, and the fifth person from East Providence suffered serious injuries, State police said.

THOMPSON, CT — Four people from Rhode Island died in a car crash on Memorial Day in Connecticut near the Rhode Island border, according to State Police.

Connecticut State Police said the crash happened in Thompson on Quaddick Town Farm Road around 5 p.m., Monday. State Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck with a tree.

Four of the five people inside the car were killed, and the fifth person from East Providence suffered serious injuries, State police said.

Those killed in the crash include: Santana, Jaslin Perez, 21, Erika Perez, 21, and Lixandra Terrero Almonte, 21. All four killed were from Providence, police said.
