Bay View Prepares for Annual Manhattan at the Bay Celebration

Bay View Academy’s Performing Arts team and the Bay View Players (approximately 75 student performers and technical crew members) are busy preparing for the 32nd annual celebration of Manhattan at the Bay, a weekend of events centered on an original musical revue titled “Nocturne.”

Nocturne is the story of the magic that occurs at night, featuring fairy tale fantasy in the form of music, dance and theatre. The public is invited to join the Bay View community on April 30th - May 2nd for a performance of Nocturne ($25 per ticket). All special events are open to the public as well and include Friday Family Night ($15 per person) and the Saturday Luck O’ the Irish Dinner ($25 per person).

Friday Family Night (May 1st) is provided by Rosalina, an Italian restaurant in Providence, RI. It’s a fantastic event for all ages featuring Italian fare that will include homemade meatballs, tender pork, penne pomodoro and much more. Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchased in advance. Flik Independent Dining is providing chicken fingers and french fries for children. Kid friendly activities include the chance to dress up at the photo station and coloring sheets. Dinner will be served from 5:30 - 7:30. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Cash bar available.

Saturday Luck O’ the Irish Dinner (May 2nd) will be catered by The Deli on Post (Warwick, RI) and features cupcakes from City Girl Cupcake (Providence, RI). A dinner of corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, chicken pie, Irish soda bread and bread pudding, will be served from 4:30 - 7:30. Enjoy Irish music and entertainment while you dine. Tickets are $25 per person. Cash bar available.

Bay View Academy is also offering the chance to win a one-week stay at a private cottage in Oughterard, Ireland (sleeps 8), plus $1,000 cash. Only 500 tickets will be sold.
