
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A 40-foot vessel went down at the dock located at the rear of 28 Water St., the fire department said today.
According to Battalion Chief Glenn J. Quick, no injuries have been reported, and the Coast Guard is investigating the cause.
Battalion Chief Quick said he spoke to the boat's owner, who appeared to be unharmed.

The dock is located near the Washington Bridge and Interstate 95.

He described the amount as "minimal."
The Coast Guard and the state Department of Environmental Management have taken over, he said.
"It's a salvage operation now," he said.
