Saturday, June 6 | 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
This is the first of a monthly summer series in the park! Other dates TBA.
Similar to tai chi, qigong was developed as a healing art rather than a martial art and tends to be simpler to learn. It involves individual flowing movements that stretch and strengthen the body, ultimately putting us in touch with our vital energy (qi). Whether to naturally relieve or prevent pain, maintain wellbeing, or find deeper spiritual connection, qigong is beneficial.
Benefits of qigong:
- pain relief/prevention
- improved balance
- increased strength
- increased flexibility
- reduced stress
- relaxation
Wear loose, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. No experience or equipment needed.
LOCATION
Join us at the beautiful Rose Larisa Memorial Park (across from Crescent Park carousel) overlooking the Providence River. Parking is available.
