Claire Maigret Guerra, 81

She lived in Riverside for almost 40 years.

Claire Maigret Guerra, of Carousel Drive, Riverside, East Providence, died peacefully on Jan. 22, 2013. She was 81.

She was the former wife of Lee Guerra of Florida. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Albertina (Pelland) Maigret.

She lived in Riverside since 1965. She was an Administrative Assistant at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 10 years before retiring in 1992. She was also an Administrative Assistant at N.C.C.J. from 1992-2000. She also was a volunteer for EBCAP.

She is survived by three sons, Paul V. McQuade and his wife Norma McQuade of Laughlintown, Pa., Paul Guerra and his wife Elena Vieira Guerra of Prospect, Conn. and David Guerra and his wife Karen Pierce Guerra of Warwick; two daughters, Jacqueline Guerra Lofgren and her husband LTC Joseph D. Lofgren of Providence and Michelle Guerra Rodrigues and her husband John Rodrigues of Swansea, Mass.; a brother; Normand Maigret of Providence, eight grandchildren; CPT, Joel Lofgren, USAF, Julianne Lofgren, Anthony Guerra, Kerri Anne Guerra, Nicholas Guerra, Ryan Guerra, Shannon Guerra and Jeffrey Rodrigues and two great-grandchildren, Jacoby Guerra and Adrian Guerra.

Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 1, from 7 to 9 pm at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral home, 350 Willett Avenue Riverside.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday Feb. 2, 2013, from W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, Riverside, at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 am.
