Cupcake Madness Brings on the Sugary Insanity

Cupcake Madness at The Village Inn drew about 1,000 people Wednesday afternoon as bakers from all over the state gathered to compete in the confectionary competition.

One of those people was East Providence area resident Tracy Amoroso. Cupcakes of every imaginable flavor and design were arrayed to tempt the collective willpower of the teeming crowds - which, on several occasions, was found wanting.

But there were no tears shed for dieters this day - only smiles and lighthearted conversationStep as bakers of every stripe showed off their skills.
