David O'Connell Asks For Recount In State Rep. Primary

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — David O'Connell asked the state Board of Elections for an official recount reviewing last Wednesday's primary election results.

Unofficial results show O'Connell lost the District 64 state representative Democratic primary in East Providence to Jose Serodio by 12 votes.

O'Connell told Turn To 10 he believes the issue is because of provisional ballots. Provisional ballots are ballots completed by voters whose eligibility is questioned.
