Dense Fog Expected Overnight Monday into Tuesday
Be careful if you plan on being on the road — visibility could be severely reduced in some parts of Rhode Island.

If you plan on driving tonight, be prepared for the possibility of dense fog.
A dense fog advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday night until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning for much of Rhode Island.
The National Weather Service issued the alert just before 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. The dense fog alert will bring visibilities down to one quarter of a mile or less at times.

A dense fog advisory is issued when dense fog will reduce visibilities to one quarter mile or less for at least three hours.
According to the National Weather Service, the fog will result in hazardous driving conditions and motorists are advised to slow down as objects on or near roadways will only be seen at close range.
