East Providence Democratic City Committee to Deliver Food Baskets to Community

On Monday, Dec, 18, organizers will be arranging baskets at Phillips Street Hall.

Members of the East Providence Democratic City Committee, Chairman John Faria, Mayor Bruce Rogers and Assistant Mayor Thomas Rose will be picking up turkeys and other food basket items for families in need on Monday, December 19, at 5 p.m. at Stop and Shop, according to a press release issued by the committee.

Immediately following, the food items will be taken to Phillips Street Hall located at 51 North Philips Street where volunteers will be organizing food gift baskets for delivery to East Providence families.

"I’m thankful to be able to participate in assisting those in need in our community", said Mayor Bruce Rogers. "During these difficult times and at this Holiday Season being able to participate in spreading some cheer, in the way of a nourishing meal, is very heart warming."
