East Providence To Offer Below-Market Housing To Veteran

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence will hold a lottery at Tuesday's city council meeting to make available a single-family home in the city at below-market rent to a veteran or family of a veteran. The program is run in conjunction with the city's Community Development Office.

The renovated, one-bedroom home had hardwood floors, new kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures with off-street parking.

This project is funded through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department through their Community Development Block Grant Program.

Keys to the Payette St. home will be presented to the veteran or recipient on Monday.
