East Providence Police Need Witnesses to Help Solve Case of Man Found Unconscious Sunday

Police say the man, who was found unconscious on Warren Avenue near the Exit 5 off ramp, cannot remember anything about what happened.

EAST PROVIDENCE -- Police are turning to social media for help finding a man who may have been involved in an incident early Sunday near the Comedy Connection.

According to the Facebook post, a little after midnight Sunday, officers responded to a disturbance near the I-195 exit 5 off ramp. They found an unconscious man lying behind his truck at the intersection of Warren Avenue and the highway ramp.

The man regained consciousness but told police he does not remember what happened.

But witnesses told police they saw another man leave the area near the Comedy Connection. He was described as a white male wearing a white baseball cap backwards. He may have been driving a dark colored Toyota Scion XB or a Kia Soul or similar vehicle. The witnesses also said he had a woman passenger.
