East Providence Police Raise Money Going Razorless

East Providence police donated nearly $5,000 to IMPACT Melanoma from its No-Shave November campaign.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI - East Providence police officers who let the whiskers grow during No-Shave November combined to raise nearly $5,000. Money raised was donated on Wednesday to IMPACT Melanoma on Wednesday.

Riverside Middle School staff and the public also contributed to the campaign and the donation.

In return, IMPACT Melanoma donated sunscreen back to the department in honor of Det. Jose Taveira, who died in September after a lengthy battle with melanoma.
