East Providence Police Searching For Bank Robbery Suspect

East Providence police are searching for a man who robbed the Pawtucket Credit Union in East Providence on Warren Avenue on Saturday.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence police are looking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed the Pawtucket Credit Union on Warren Avenue Saturday morning. Police said a man wearing a black hat, sunglasses, a black coat and black gloves with a design on the the back of them fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said they were called to the Credit Union about 9:25 a.m. for a report of a robbery. According to video surveillance and witness statements the white male suspect in his 40s presented a note to the teller that demanded cash. No weapon was shown. The suspect then took back the note and left with money.

East Providence request that anyone in the area of the bank at the time of the robbery who may have information about the case contact the East Providence Police Department.
