East Providence School Committee Member Completes Leadership Training

East Providence School committee member Stephen Furtado recently graduated from a leadership program from the Rhode Island Association of School Committees.

Furtado graduated from the association's Leadership Development Academy and was honored on April 30, according to a news release. He has also served as state president of the Rhode Island PTA and as treasurer of the Rhode Island Parent Information Network.

"RIASC commends Stephen for his commitment to ongoing professional development and for his dedication to his governance role and East Providence's  public school students," the release states.
