East Providence Waterfront Gateway District Revitalization Forum

A public forum to share ideas on the transformation of Watchemocket Square will be Jan. 15.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence is looking for input from residents and businesses on its plans to revitalize Watchemocket Square. A public meeting will be held Jan. 15 at Tockwotton on the Waterfront to share ideas about branding, place-making and transportation improvements to the Waterfront Gateway District of the city.

The meeting is designed to focus on early thoughts and ideas about improvements in the area. The meeting will run from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with a design team presentation at 5:30. Ideas for the square include music, a bike path, branding, wayfinding, theater, arts and business opportunities.
