Emil C. Smith, of East Providence, died on Dec. 31, 2012, at home. He was 62.
He was the husband of Carol (Mastrostefano) Grenier. He is also survived by his children, Ralf Smith, Brandon Smith, Michelle Mowry, Mark Smith, John Smith, Jennifer Smith and 11 grandchildren.
He was an Army veteran of Vietnam veteran,and a recipient of the Purple Heart. His funeral with military honors was private at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery.
